Question 6-10
6. Have you ever used Uber?
7. Have you ever participated in a race?
8. Why do you think the Amish community requires its members to dress alike and in those styles?
9. Have you ever had to wear a uniform?
10. What is one question about the Amish or Lancaster that you are excited to find out more about?
That was my blog about the Amish. I still hope you enjoyed reading it.
Have a great Sunday!
- Yes, I did. And I was always happy with it.
- To be honest I don't see a connection between this question and source 3b. I think it might be a mistake and it is connected to source 3c. In that case I think it is a great idea! You can ask the Amish man whatever you want and learn a lot more about their culture. And it is a great attraction, too.
- I would definitely do it. First because I might never get the chance again to ride in a buggy. Second because I can meet an Amish and talk to him easily.
7. Have you ever participated in a race?
- Just in school when I had to. I am not an athlet and very slow with no stamina. So a race isn't fun for me.
- I might sweat faster because I am wearing more clothes and those clothes are probably made out of cotton or something like that so they can't breathe and might be a little heavier than usual sports clothes. Except that I don't think different clothes would affect my experience.
8. Why do you think the Amish community requires its members to dress alike and in those styles?
- First to give the people the feeling of a community and solidarity. Second, because they live like the people lived 200 years ago and that's what they were wearing. Third, because sex is something they are not talking about or that is never a topic so the girls and women shouldn't be dressed with short dresses and plunging necklines. All in all I think the second point is most important one.
9. Have you ever had to wear a uniform?
- No, I didn't. In school everybody could wear their own clothes. And there was no other occassion where I had to wear a uniform.
- Can't tell. But it would safe me much time in front of my closet ;)
- Well, I can't really answer that question, too. I have never worn a uniform. It only affects me in this way that I have never made this experience.
10. What is one question about the Amish or Lancaster that you are excited to find out more about?
- I would like to know more about their way of living. What do they eat? How do they cook or do the laundry? How are the kids lifes? Why they decided to come back after the 'rumspringa'? How does a typical day look like?

Thank you for catching my mistake! I fixed it, so now it reads 3c. :) I think your responses to these sources are full of fascinating connections that I hope we can address in about a week!
